BURNOUT, SELF CARE, and RESILIENCE.
This was my topic when I presented last week to a group of incredible adults (therapists, youth workers, teachers, managers) who dedicate their careers to working with young people who have had a rough start to life. How can we really show up as present, regulated and whole, if we are not caring adequately for ourselves? My argument would be - we can't. 👀 I reflected on my experience of early career burnout, to give voice to what many early career psychologists go through.

What is sex therapy?
I am often asked, "what is sex therapy?" I spend a lot of time explaining what it is not, but I want to focus on what it is. The word 'sex' in itself is heavy with taboo, secrecy, discomfort, and embarrassment.
